Donald L. Langdon, Jr., 2/12/54 - 7/13/2023
Donald passed away peacefully on 7/13/2023 at Hospice of Dayton. By the grace of God, he lived many good years while having an
aggressive form of prostate cancer. God knew it was time for him to be called into His presence.
Donald was born in San Diego, California. He was the oldest of nine. He grew up on a small farm in Orange County, surrounded
by orange groves, in which he spent many hours playing as a child. He was involved in 4-H and raised Grand Champion Hogs and
Heifers. He was a Corpsman in the Navy. He also ran a Landscaping Business in Sacramento, California for many years. At 40, went
back to school and received his LVN license and worked as a Visiting Nurse and later for the County, doing Psychiatric Assessments.
He loved Nursing and was very good at it. He retired in 2020 due to his health.
His love for God and His word, was first and foremost in his life. He loved discussing scripture and praying with others. He also loved
the mountains of N. California and the Giant Redwoods on the Coast. He was talented in cooking, knife making, and leather work. He was a lifelong motorcyclist, belonging to the Christian Motorcyclists Association, Resurrection Riders, of Dayton.
He had a strong sense of responsibility to family, and always did what he could to help when a need arose. His wisdom, knowledge,
and sarcasm will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Laura, of 42 years. His step children, Desiree Jordan, and Nathan Gannon. His grandchildren, Dominic,
Evan, Julian, and Adeline, as well as extended family.
There will be a Memorial Ride on August 13, KSU at 10:30, staging at Xenia Walmart. The ride will end at the Bellhop Café in Bellbrook
At 1:00 for food and fellowship, a time of sharing. All are welcome.
Psalm 73: 24-26, "You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but you.
I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God
remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever." (NLT)
