Donald Louis Reinhard
Age 79, our Angel on Earth, took the hand of God on Wednesday, June 15th, 2011. Don was at home and was surrounded by his 5 loving children. Don was a devoted husband and father and teacher of right and wrong as a God loving person. All of these traits are displayed in his surviving family. He dearly loved his wife Mary and their children and 10 grandchildren.
Don is a USMC veteran of the Korean War Conflict. He began his career at NCR in Dayton, OH which was later sold to Appleton Paper Company. Don retired from Appleton Paper Company after 35+ years of service and played golf on a regular basis.
He is preceded in death by his soulmate, Mary Kathryn Reinhard, loving and devoted wife of 55 years. Also preceding Don in death are his parents Aloys J. and Rita B. Reinhard; brothers, Walter J. Reinhard and Norm Reinhard; sister in-law Joan Reinhard; parent in-laws Harry and Magdalen Stoffregen; brother in-laws William H. Stoffregen and James E. Stoffregen; nephews Dustin Reinhard; Matthew Stoffregen, Stephen "Bebo" Stoffregen. He is survived by his, daughter Regina M. Reinhard, sons Gregory L. Reinhard, Keith G. Reinhard, (Jacqueline), Kevin J. Reinhard, (Susan), Eric R. Reinhard; grandchildren Garrett, Hunter, Makenna, Lilly, Collin, Madison, Tessa, Kelsey, Morgan, Danielle; sisters Marjorie Reinhard, Phyllis Reinhard, Rita Kreitzer and Carol Post; brothers Ralph Reinhard and Lawrence Reinhard; nephew Harry W. Stoffregen; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews from the Reinhard, Eifert and Stoffregen family; and numerous friends including his golfing buddies. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to Hospice of Dayton. The family will receive visitations from family and friends on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Boulevard, Kettering, OH. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Anthony Parish, 830 Bowen Street, Dayton, OH on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 10:00am. Interment following the service at David's Cemetery.
