Donald L. Hobbs, Jr.
Age 38, a loving son, husband, brother and friend passed away at his residence on April 29, 2006 following a lengthy illness.
He was a 1986 graduate of Chaminade-Julienne High School and attended Sinclair Community College for two years where he played Baseball. He worked for Kettering Medical and Sycamore Hospitals for 16 years and also was a Supervisor for UPS.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Sheryl Hobbs; his parents, Donald, Sr. and Linda Hobbs; sisters, Kim Rudy (Tony), Laura Hobbs, Kelli Schmidt (Stan) and loving cousin, Joanna Cusick; two nephews, Michael and Christopher; three nieces, Amberly, Meghan and Adisson; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Interment will follow at Willowview Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the Dialysis Center of Dayton South for their wonderful support. The family would also like to encourage friends and family to become organ donors at it saves lives.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer that donations be made in memory of Donald to the Dayton Area Diabetes Association.
