Donald W. Kephart, age 62 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017. He was born December 18, 1955 in Sioux Falls, SD to the late Richard and Nell Kephart.
Don was known for his skills as a tool maker and special machine building. He was currently employed with Omega Automation and formerly with ATW and Gem City Engineering. He was an avid motorcycle rider and car enthusiast. Don was a member of the VFW Post #6560 and a life-time member of the AMVETS Post #24.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kelly Kephart.
Don will be missed by his loving wife of 9 years, Jean; son, Brad Kephart; daughters, Ashley (Eric) Myers and Lindsey (Justin) Moore; stepchildren, Emily (Jay) Gilbert, Laura (Eric) Hammitt and Michelle (Art) McRill; grandchildren, Jordan and Emma Myers; step-grandchildren, Phebe, Braden, Tristan, Abigail, Ross, CT and Nihla; siblings, Luella, Cindy, Jerri-Lynn, Phillip, Nancy, Melissa and Shannon; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the VFW Post #6560, 5483 Wadsworth Rd., Dayton.
