Donald R. Kelly Ii

Donald R. Kelly, age 63 of Kettering, OH went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 24, 2021. He was born August 18, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio to Donald and Dolores (Fisher)Kelly. He married Ruth Harned on December 1, 1979 in Riverside, OH.

Don graduated from Walter E. Stebbins High School in 1976. He worked as a machinist at H and H and as a subcontractor at ABF from 1977 to 2016. Don's passions included fishing and music. He was a lifetime fisherman who was known to catch the " big ones". Don loved fishing at Indian Lake and Lake Erie with his sons, his brothers and his fishing buddy, Billy. He was the DJ for the "Just-n-Tyme Band that played throughout the Dayton area. Don loved classic rock and country music. He enjoyed watching NASCAR with his sons and the shows Duck Dynasty and Street Outlaws. Don loved his family dearly, especially the love of his life, Ruth, and will be greatly missed by all.

Don is survived by his wife of 41 years Ruth; three sons, Donald R. Kelly, III, James W. Kelly and Shawn T. Kelly; two grandchildren, Anna Marie Kelly and Donald R. Kelly IV; siblings, Deborah (Mark) Howland, Albert (Joan) Kelly, Vickie (Randy) Cyrus and Dana (Michelle) Kelly; and other numerous family and friends. He is preceded in death by parents; and a sister, Ann Kelly.

A special thank you from the Kelly family to Rena Allen for all the care she provided to Don over the last few years.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 pm the funeral.
