Donald K. Gerhardt, age 86 of Centerville, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Oak Creek Terrace. He was born June 22, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Hetty Ellen Gerhardt.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Phyllis Gerhardt; two daughters, Leslie Walker and Laurie Kronmiller; four grandchildren, Jacob (Ashley) Walker, Jenna Walker, Jerrod Shackleford, and Talen Kronmiller: three great-grandchildren, Connor, Audrey, and Evelyn; and brother, Charles (Leslie) Gerhardt. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Donald was a devoted member of the Rotary Club for 49 years and he enjoyed housing exchange students. Donald was a very active member in his community and won awards for selling the most tickets to the Rotary Club pancake breakfast. He was a hard-working business owner and devoted husband and father. Donald is loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
The family hopes those who would like to honor him will find a quiet time to remember who he was in your life and be thankful for the time you had together. In lieu of a public funeral service, individual families are encouraged to have their own private memorial.
