Donald Leo Faulkner, age 78 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018. He was born August 1, 1939 in Accoville, West Virginia, the son of the late Willis and Pearl Faulkner.
As a child, Don moved to Menifee County, KY and was raised there. Don was very proud to have been raised in Menifee County and of his Southern heritage. Don was known by many different nicknames to various friends and relatives, to name a few: Duck, Dino, Menifee and Big Faulk. Don retired from Chrysler Airtemp in 1995 after 30 years of service. Don's great loves in life were his family, bluegrass music and the Kentucky Wildcats.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Sonny Faulkner; granddaughter, Jenna Faulkner; and brother-in-law, Joe Prasmantas.
Don is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sharon; children, Rhonda Audia, Vance Faulkner, Laura Myers; sister, Mary Sargent; brothers, Roger (Tammy) Faulkner, Rodney (Karla) Faulkner; mother of his children, Ruby Faulkner; grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy, Ashley, Dustin, Tori; three great grandsons, Maddox, Nolan, Tanner; sister-in-law, Julie Blair; brother-in-law, Jon Prasmantas; as well as a host of other relatives and friends, including his very special friend Bo Creech.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 12 pm to 3 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). A Masonic Service will begin at 2:45 pm, with a Memorial Service following at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Sharon to assist with final expenses.
