Cummings, Donald E., age 81, of Beavercreek, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 31, 2013.
He was married to Ellen Joyce (nee Powell) of Dayton, Ohio for 58 wonderful years.
He was preceded in death by his son Ronald Lee Cummings, his parents, 2 brothers, Charles and Richard, 2 sisters, Virginia and Marguerite.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lois (Joe) Schneider; 4 grandchildren, Sara (Carl) Canter, Jonah (Jodi) Schneider, Samuel Schneider, Caleb Schneider; 4 great-granddaughters, Aili, Elise, and Adelyn Canter, Olivia Schneider; loving brothers, Paul Edward and James LeRoy Cummings; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Donald worked in the construction industry throughout his career and he proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked hard every day of his life until his illness.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 9-10am at Calvary Grace Brethren Church, 2850 E. Dorothy Lane, Kettering, where funeral service will follow at 10am, Pastor Mark W. Combs officiating.
Burial at Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Calvary Grace Brethren Church in Donald's memory.
