Donald Lee Dailey Sr., age 80 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024. He was born November 20, 1943 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of the late Charles and Lena Dailey.
Donald spent most of his career at Sonitrol Security and later at Merchants Security, leaving a lasting impact on those that worked with him. He found joy in gardening, playing the lottery, and taking trips to Tennessee. He was known for his sarcastic sense of humor, which always brought smiles to those around him. He especially enjoyed playfully teasing his kids and grandkids. He leaves behind family and friends who will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Jean Dailey; siblings, Billy Dailey, Joby Dailey, Lois Constantino, Betty Walker and Jane Hance.
Donald is survived by his children, Donald Lee (Pam) Dailey Jr., Diane Dailey and Dana (Dustin) Larck; grandchildren, Christopher Dailey, Melissa (Joshua) Galaise, Matthew (Aubrey) Freiberger, Brooke (Jeff) West, Titan Lark and Kaylee Lark; great grandchildren, Hailey, Alana, Autumn, Harper, Hunter, Natalie, Timothy, Anthony, Mariah and Journee; sisters, Fran Moneymaker and Jewell Pelletier; and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a service to follow at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Donald will be laid to rest at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 12:00 pm.
