Donald L. Crosthwaite, Sr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away, Monday, August 10th, 2020 at the age of 84.
Don retired from the Kroger Company after 35 years of dedicated service in the Dayton area. After retirement he founded and operated Don's Lawn Care with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Deborah K. Bennett, Suzanne D. Beavers, and son Lionel H. Clawson. He is survived by his wife, Emma D. Crosthwaite, son Donald L. Crosthwaite, Jr., older brother James, younger brothers, Louis, Martin, Roy, and Bobby; younger sisters, Wanda, Jeanie, Libby, Judy, and Patricia; and 11 grandchildren(April Friedrichs(Crosthwaite), Donald L Crosthwaite, III, Jennifer Crosthwaite, William Crosthwaite, Anna Crosthwaite, Emily Laswell (Bennett), Jonathan Bennett, Joshua Beavers, Jeremy Beavers, Justin Beavers, Dakota Cloud (Clawson)) and 21 great grandchildren.
Don had a great talent of lightening a room with laughter, giving enormous hugs with ear to ear smiles. He was kind to all individuals and adored by his family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020 from 1:30 pm until time of Memorial service at 2:30 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Inurnment will follow at David's Cemetery Mausoleum.
