Donald G. Caldwell, age 83 of Kettering, OH passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 6, 1937 in Owsley County, Kentucky to Eunice Caldwell and Gracie Givens.
Don was a hard worker and owned his own company, D.G. Caldwell Concrete in Beavercreek for 40 years. When not working he loved to fish and hunt. Don loved his family dearly, enjoying time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and will be greatly missed by all.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Donna Caldwell; a step-daughter, Sharon (Richard) Homer; a step-son, Roger (Kathy) Edwards; ten grandchildren, Brandon (Tonya) and Bryon (Samantha) Williams, Billy (Rickie) and Bradley (Carly) Russell, Steve (Jennifer) Altic, Nicole Edwards, DeAnna (Howie) Laudermilk, Dennis (Megan) Jakubs, Angel (Carl) Hedberg and Jonathan Edwards; 22 great grandchildren; two brothers, Russell (Barbara) Givens and Johnnie Givens; daughter-in-law, Helen Edwards; and numerous family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Caldwell, and his second wife, Lucille Caldwell; sisters, Penny Ferguson, Margaret Ann Fox and Patty Caldwell; two brothers, Eunice, Jr., and Daniel Caldwell; a step son, Tim Edwards.
In lieu of flowers donations in Don's name can be made to the American Cancer Society, 4540 Cooper Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery, Beavercreek, OH.
