Donald C. Daley

Daley, Donald C., age 84, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2008. He was a proud veteran serving in the US Army during WWII in the 69th Infantry Division. He was a longtime member of the AmVets 24 and Eagles #321, and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 431. He was an avid golfer and pool player. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia Daley; children, Angela (Bradley) Jones of Kentucky, Kimberly (Kevin) Goldick of Independence. KY; grandchildren and pride and joy, Ashley (Jason) Riddle, Brittanni Jones, Cassondra Jones, Kayla Howard, Miranda Howard, Dyllan Goldick, & Michael Daley; 2 great grandchildren, Jakob Riddle & Conner Riddle; brother, Lionel (Shelly) Daley of Miamisburg, OH; sister, Lillian Froehle of Dayton, OH; sons, Michael & Dennis Daley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Gail Daley, and numerous brothers and sisters. Special thanks to Randy & Bolton Cox for their care. The family would like to thank Passport and all the nurses and aids that enabled him to finish his life out at home. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 PM on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 PM until the time of services. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Dayton National Cemetery.
