Donald Brittain

BRITTAIN, Donald G. 1SG Army Retired, age 84, passed away July 23, 2012. He was born February 6, 1928 in Ames, OK to the late, Alden and Mabel Brittain.
Don retired after 30 years of services in the United States Army to include four tours in Vietnam earning two Bronze Stars. He also received a bachelors degree from The Enid Business College in 1954.
He enjoyed traveling, good German beer, and spending time with his family and friends from around the world. Don was a member of Huber Heights Sister Cities and also St. Peter Catholic Church.
His greatest joy in life was his wife, Roxanne, children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Roxanne; children, Patrick Brittain, Kylie (Curtis) Edwards, and Diana and Debbie Brittain; grandchildren, Makayla, Savannah, Sydney, Tyler, Jason, and Megan; brother, Dwayne Brittain; sister, Peggy Hill; and numerous family members and friends.
He is also preceded in death by his sons, Dwayne and David Brittain; and brother, Jack Brittain.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home-North, 4104 Needmore Rd.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 27, 2012 at 9:30 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Rd. Interment to follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
