Donald Baer Sr.

BAER SR., Donald E. age 75 of Dayton, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, December 19, 2005 at his home. He was preceded in death by Arlene, his loving wife of 53 years, his son Ronald E. Baer, his daughter Darlene J. Baer, parents Carl and Myrtle Baer, his sister Anita Cugle and his son-in-law Richard Whitaker. He is survived by his daughters Debra Whitaker, Denise and husband Rick Dobbins, his son Donald Jr. and wife Kay Baer; previous in-laws Robert C. Staton and Tina Baer; grandchildren Eric and wife Leslie Dobbins, Jason and wife Cheryl Staton, Donald III "Yogi" and wife Amber Baer, Brian (Diana Giraldo) Dobbins, Robert and wife April Staton, Andrew (Amanda Hurley) Staton, Angela Baer, Michelle Baer, Amy Baer, Brian Hughes and Amanda Pendergast; great grandchildren Devin and Trevor Dobbins, Taylor and Austin Pendergast, MacKenzie Staton and Wesley Baer; siblings Deloris and husband Gene Tincher, Patty and husband Curtis McGuire, Carl and wife Pat Baer, Darrell Baer Sr., Douglas Sr. and wife Shirley Baer and Linda Holley; 17 nieces and nephews; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends. Donald retired after 42 years of service at Equitable Life Insurance Company. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 22, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Road, with Pastor Jerry Siler officiating. Family will receive friends from 9-11 am and 1pm until time of service. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton and the Diabetes Association.
