Donald Andrew Deeter, age 82, of Dayton passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011.
Don was born May 29, 1929 in Pontiac, MI to the late Howard & Kathleen Deeter.
He graduated from Pontiac High School in 1947 and from Michigan State University in 1951.
Don served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Don married the love of his life, Joan Dennis in 1953.
He worked for several divisions of General Motors for 32 years; the majority of his time was spent with Frigidaire, retiring from Harrison Radiator in 1985.
Don was an avid hunter, fisherman, and longtime member of Sycamore Creek Country Club where he had his first hole in one and years of great games with his favorite foursome and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Deeter; and brother, Howard C. Deeter.
Don is survived by his daughter, Gwen & son-in-law Kevin Barker; granddaughter, Lindsey Barker; grandson, Andrew Barker; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church (125 N. Wilkinson St., Dayton, OH 45402) Friday, June 10, 2011 at 12pm, with a luncheon to follow.
