Donald A. Hallahan, age 78, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Garner, NC. He was born in Byesville, OH on February 16, 1937 to the late Andrew & Beatrice Hallahan.
Donnie received his pilot certificate at the age of 70 and loved flying. He also loved the game of golf, boating, cars and a variety of other hobbies throughout his life.
Donnie was preceded in death by his lifetime best friend, Jimmy Weber.
He is survived by his wife, Violet Hallahan; children, Heather Hallahan, Sarah (Robert) Senter and David (Krystal) Moster; grandchildren, Rayna Sprouse, Adam Trzeciak, Ethan and Emery Moster; great-grandchildren, Serenity and Kitara Sprouse, Arielle and Andrew Trzeciak; siblings, Marianne Hallahan, Kathleen Minger and Michael Hallahan; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 9:30-10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 10:30am. Burial will take place at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
