Dolores Wagner

WAGNER, Dolores, M., 93, formerly of Kettering, Ohio died peacefully Saturday, August 6, 2005 at Woodland Country Manor, Somerville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her Husband George of 55 years, her daughter Sue Anne Steele and her brother Don Thatcher. She is survived by 4 daughters, Ruth Winters and her husband Gerald, of Troy, Ohio, Sarah Jaehn of Palm Harbor, Florida Lynne Wagner of Oxford, Ohio and Gail Wagner of Chapin, South Carolina, Son-In-Law Dave Steele of Circleville, Ohio, 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was born March 25, 1912 to the late Paul Thatcher and Lydia Schooley. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and Dayton Teachers College. Dolores taught elementary school for 23 years, ending her career in 1972 at Oakview Elementary School in Kettering, Ohio. Dolores was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Dayton and Montgomery County Retired Teachers Association, as well as the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. with burial to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, Ohio.
