Dolores Staley

Dolores Staley of Huber Heights, OH passed away on January 4, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. Dolores was born April 10, 1922 in Sandy Hook, KY and moved to Dayton at the onset of WWII to work at DESC and eventually followed with a career in retail with retirement at age 80. Dolores enjoyed a good poker game, shopping with her granddaughters, and enthusiastically cheering on her sons' basketball teams while watching her grandsons play.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, James Staley. She is survived by her son, James Staley (Susie Sells Staley); son, Joseph Staley (Micky Feldman Staley); and daughter, Debby Staley. Dolores was blessed with many grandchildren: Jayme Staley, Jill Hanson, Jimmy Staley, Erin Staley, Sarah Gable (Brad), Megan Lunne (Patrick), Emily Staley, Joe Staley Jr, John Staley; and great grandchildren: Chloe Hanson, Eric Hanson, Grace Gable and Jacob Gable. Dolores is also survived by her sister, Mary Pickering and brother, Bill Parsons along with numerous loved nieces and nephews.

Burial will be Wednesday, January 9, 2019 . Visitation will begin at 10:30 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Road, Huber Heights, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. Interment at Calvary Cemetery will follow a lunch reception at St. Peter's family center. Flowers and donations can be sent to St. Peter's where Dolores was a founding member.
