Dolores Ann Moore of Monroe passed away peacefully Friday, May 3rd, 2024 at the age of 87.
Dolores was born June 12th, 1936 to David and Emma Jones in Wyandotte, Michigan. She attended Bedford High School where she met the love of her life, Eugene William Moore. The two were married on March 7th, 1953 and had 5 children.
She was an avid traveler, reader, and song bird. Some of her happiest memories were cooking for family on holidays and seeing movies with her grandchildren. She felt her greatest accomplishments in life were raising her children and her 53-year-long marriage. She lived by her favorite piece of advice; "love everybody - keep an open mind and an open heart."
Dolores is survived by her son, Matthew Moore; grandchildren, Michael, Sean, Jay, Ryan, Josh, and Maria; and a host of other relatives and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Emma Jones; brothers, David, Robert, and Kenneth; sisters, Catherine and Dorothy; husband, Eugene Moore; sons, Michael, Jeffrey, Christopher; and daughter, Victoria.
Per the family's wishes, no public services will be held. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to Ohio Living Mount Pleasant in Monroe, OH for their extraordinary love and care for Dolores in her final years.
