Dolores Coffey

Dolores "Dee" Coffey, young at heart, of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. She was raised in Dayton, Ohio by her late foster parents, Paul and Myrtle Engle.

She had a heart of gold and shared her numerous creative abilities with many of the children she cared for over the years. Dee was revered for her culinary skills and could bake a mean pecan pie and decorate some awesome wedding cakes.

In addition to her foster parents she was preceded in death by her son, Mike Coffey and sister, Miriam Allen.

Dee is survived by her loving husband, Irv; daughters, Pami Coffey, Deb (Dave) Haley and Tree Coffey; brother, Paul Engle; grandchildren, Melissa and Michael Inal. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until the funeral service at 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432 with Pastor Bill Barrett officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
