Fowkes, Dolores A. "Dee", 94, of Huber Heights, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016.
She was born February 24, 1922 in Boyceville, WI to the late Albert and Gladys (Thorud) Lea. Dee graduated from Concordia College and furthered her education as an Engineer and an Artist. She was a charter member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Huber Heights and volunteered at the thrift shop on WPAFB for many years.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Fowkes, Jr, son, Peter Fowkes, son-in-law, Daniel South, granddaughter, Lauren Marchione, sister, LaVina Tikal.
She is survived by her children, Kristi South, Chip (Karen) Fowkes, Robin (Dave) Thomas; 5 grandchildren, Erin, Ashley, Seth, Jennifer and Michael and wife, Kaley; 7 great grandchildren, Domanic, Haiden, Hunter, Robert John (RJ) and Rylee (Lollypop)and their father Robert John (Bob), Harper, and River; sister, Phyllis (Don) Abrahams; brother, Glenn (Peggy) Lea, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Dee was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and lived a remarkable life. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Miami Valley Hospital Emergency Staff and to Hospice of Dayton for their compassionate care.

The family will receive visitors from 3:00 to 4:30pmThursday, May 5, 2016 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 5566 Chambersburg Rd. Huber Heights, where a Celebration of Life service will follow at 4:30pm.
