Doc Harmon Williams, 89, of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at his residence. He was born on July 29, 1933, to Wiley and Ida (nee: Crawford) Williams in Wallins Creek, KY.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, Betty Williams; his siblings, Augusta Williams, Oscar Williams, Junie Williams, Johnny Williams, Dewey Williams, Dorothy Stevens; his daughter, Debbie Bragg; his granddaughter, Jennifer Lykins, and his grandson, Timothy Elkins.
Doc was a faithful servant to the Lord. He served for many years in the bus ministry at Moraine Heights Baptist Church. Doc enjoyed fishing and spending time at his trailer at the Lake of the woods campground. He also enjoyed being a part of a CB radio club and talking to people all around the U.S. on his CB radio. The most important thing to Doc was spending time with family. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and having fish fries for family and friends. As well as having family dinners at the Golden Coral one of his favorite places to eat. Doc is well loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Doc is survived by his wife, Ruth (nee: Smith) Williams; his brother, Jerry (Stephanie) Williams; his children, Don (Toni) Williams, Mike Williams, Kathy (Cary Vanasdale) Leeds, Mark (Kim) Williams, Kimberly (Bill) Howard; his grandchildren, Nicholas Williams, Michael Williams, Jason Jackson, Scott Worthington, Amber (Jeremy Ray) Worthington, Chase Leeds, Cody Leeds, AJ (Maryann) Williams, Brody Williams, Erika (Derek) Stewart, Amanda Elkins and 13 great-grandchildren. Doc is also survived by numerous family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moraine Heights Baptist Church, 5661 Munger Rd, Dayton, OH 45459.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 30, 2022 10 AM to 11 AM with services beginning at 11 AM, all at Newcomer Funeral Home – Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45439.
