Do Van Ha, age 93, of Dayton, passed away peacefully at his daughter's home in bed Sunday, December 10, 2023.
Mr. Do was born in Duyen Lang, city of Thai Binh Vietnam to Mr. Hoanh Ha & Tuoi Nguyen on December 25, 1929.
He married the most beautiful lovely lady in the Phu Lac village, Ly T. Tran in 1948 who preceded him in death in 2001.
Mr. Do is survived by his son, Vinh Van Ha & his wife, Diep Mien Ha and their children and grandchildren; daughter, Hoa Thi Ha and her children and grandchildren; daughter, Thuy Thi Ha and her children and grandchildren; son, Tuan Quang Ha & his wife, Kim Cuong Ha and their children and grandson; daughter, Nguyet Thi Ha & her husband, Phong Van Pham and their children and grandchildren; daughter, Nga Thi Ha & her husband, Hai Phu Ta and their children and grandson; and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Do served in the French-Vietnam War between 1949-1953. He then relocated his whole family (parents, sisters, his wife and son) to the South of Vietnam in 1954. He worked many jobs over the years including fisherman, carpenter and truck driver. Mr. Do was very supportive of his children, instilling good values and the importance of education. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 6-9 pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 9am at Sacred Heart Church, 217 W. 4th St., Dayton, OH 45402.
Mr. Do will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
