Dixon Gilbert

GILBERT, Dixon H., 80, of Miami Township, Montgomery County, Ohio passed away November 28, 2004 at Kettering Hospital. Dick was born at home April 19, 1924 in Farmersville, Ohio. Dick was a veteran of World War II. He retired from CONRAIL in 1984. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Gilbert and Rose Gilbert Pearson and his brothers, Conrad and Donald Gilbert. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sally (Lovett) and by his sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Ruth Gilbert of Cleveland, Ohio and Keith and Diane Gilbert of Miami Township. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Joe, Ken and Jess Gilbert and Lori Winfield. He is also survived by his brother, Bob Gilbert of Columbus, Ohio and Sallys sister and brothers, Mary June and Elmer Brock, Miami Township, Ohio, Bob and Clara Lovett, Centerville, Georgia and Ray Lovett, Clarksville, Tennessee. Dick is also survived by six great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at Newcomer Farley Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday, November 30, 2004. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton, Ohio.
