Diron D. Elkins

Diron D. Elkins age 67 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. He was born May 23, 1950 in Appalachia, Virginia, the son of Demmer and Lucille (Litton) Elkins. He graduated from Patterson Co-op High School in 1968. Diron retired from the Dayton Power & Light Co. after working 38 years as a Customer Service Liaison. He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Kayrene (Collins) Elkins, his son Kevin Elkins and daughter Kara Elkins. Brothers, Jim Elkins, Barry Elkins, David Elkins and sister Kathy Grubb. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Elkins. Diron was a member of the Centerville Church of Christ where he served many years as a Deacon. He loved the Lord and his church family very much. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on May 21 and 10 a.m. on May 22 with funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Centerville Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the Germantown Cemetery.
