Dillard Martin

Dillard L. Martin, age 87, of Dayton, passed away on November 18, 2011. He was born on June 16, 1924 in Middlesboro, KY, to the late John and Myrtle (Partin) Martin. In addition to his parents, Dillard is preceded in death by his sister, Francine Caldwell; and three brothers, Bill, Garrett and Everette Martin. Dillard is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dolores R. (Webb) Martin; three children, Sammy Lee Martin, Mitzi (Joe) Slates and Kent D. Martin; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister Jeanette Eldridge; two brothers, Houston (Ann) Martin and Carl Martin. Dillard honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and also served for the 3 C's. He worked for 27 years in the construction business and will be missed by his many friends. A visitation will take place on Monday November 21, 2011 from 6:00-7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd. A funeral will take place on Tuesday November 22, 2011 at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
