Diane Schock Moore, born on January 27, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio, left this world on April 27, 2025, in Versailles, Ohio, leaving behind a rich tapestry of memories woven into the lives of all who knew her. Diane's life was beautifully intertwined with her passion for design, music, and community, making her a cherished member of her family, friends, and church.
Diane was a proud graduate of Tecumseh High School, where her talents blossomed. As a dedicated member of the band, choir, and numerous musicals, she showcased her artistic flair, and as a majorette, she brought spirit and energy to every performance. Her pursuit of creativity led her to the University of Cincinnati, where she diligently studied Design, Art, and Architecture. It was here that she honed her skills, which would serve her well in her career.
For many years, Diane devoted herself to her family's legacy at Schock Plumbing, Heating, and Hardware in New Carlisle, where her caring nature and creative insight shaped not only the business but also the community it served. Her talent extended further as she worked in various home design companies, specializing in cabinet, kitchen, and bathroom designing. Diane's artistic touch transformed homes and spaces, leaving a lasting mark on every project she undertook.
Beyond her professional life, Diane's soul radiated warmth and joy. She embodied a love for life that was contagious; whether it was dancing to the rhythm of her favorite songs or her deep appreciation for nature and flowers, she found beauty in the simplest of moments. A lover of dogs, her home was often filled with the playful energy of her furry companions, whom she adored wholeheartedly. Those who knew her would fondly describe her as caring and fun, with a spirit of creativity that knew no bounds. She was ever so slightly stubborn as well, but it was always in the best possible way—holding steadfast to her beliefs and ideals.
Diane was a lifetime member of the New Carlisle Church of the Brethren, a place that served as a cornerstone of her life. She not only sang with the choir but also played drums and bells, bringing her vibrant energy to each service. Her dedication shined through in the beautiful altar displays she designed, reflecting her talent and deep-rooted faith.
Diane's legacy will be carried on by her beloved son, Nathan Moore; brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Debra Schock; sister-in-law, Cheryl Schock; and by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who were touched by her kindness and spirit. Diane rejoined her parents, Bob and Helen Schock, husband, Dennis Moore, and brother, Dana Schock, in eternal peace—leaving a heart-shaped void in our lives that will forever be filled with fond memories of her laughter, love, and creativity.
As we gather to remember Diane, let us hold close the moments of joy she gifted each of us, her unwavering spirit, and the unyielding love she exemplified. She will always be remembered as a beautiful soul whose impact on this world will endure through the hearts she touched.
