Diana Leslie Watson, age 66, of Dayton and Fort Worth, TX, passed away after a beautiful life on August 6, 2018. Diana was born in Denison, TX to the late Doris (Al) Sears and Gordon Watson on August 31, 1951. She lived a gypsy lifestyle, having half her heart in Ohio and the other half in Texas. She grew up in a military family and continued as the wife of a career Army man, Ludlow Pendery, whom she met while living on Okinawa, Japan. Diana had a passion for animals, she enjoyed reading and was a skilled crafter. Diana was a spiritual woman and always lived in a way that honored those around her.
She took great pride and joy in her family. She lived by the mottos of "Family First" and as her siblings would say, "Diane knows everything". She led her family with grace, strength, compassion, and "gentle" direction. She was a loving and caring, mother, mamaè, great-mamaè, sister, and friend. She will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor and her ability to always bring a smile to your face and laughter to your heart.
Diana was preceded in death by her mother and step-dad, Doris and Al aka, "Papa" Sears, and father, Gordon Watson.
Diana leaves to cherish her memory, loving daughters, Lisa (Gordon Sears) Lingo, Lani (Tony) Marsh, and Lori (Jim) Van Leeuwen; brothers, David (Pat) Watson, Dale (Penny) Watson, and Dana (Rosie) Watson; sister, Terri Parsons; grandchildren, Stephanie Biay, Michael (Susie) Biay, Brian (Courtney) Lingo, and Tricia (Q.) Quijivix-Sweeney; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jaer; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Diana's family would like to thank all of Diana's loving friends and "adopted" kids, for their support, care, and love over the years.
A celebration of Diana's life will be held at Dave and Pat's and another in Texas at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diana's memory to your local animal shelter or rescue.
