On July 3, 2016, Diana Lourene Goddard (nee Liffick) went to be with the Lord. She was a devoted wife to William R. Goddard, loving mother to Lisa L. Crawford, and doting grandmother to Catlin L. Price (Jason), Marisa E. Welz, and Jaden E. Crawford Taningco. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Jacquelyn Ohman (John), and Kathi Spitler (Virgil) and her adored nephew Bryan Spitler (Andrea) as well as many other treasured family and friends.
Diana attended the Dayton Art Institute in her youth and later Miami University of Ohio. She became an accomplished fine artist, and later in life a professional photographer and floral designer. She overflowed with creativity, not only in fine arts but also in writing, publishing "Rabbit World" Magazine, co-authoring a book on rabbit genetics and also being published as a poet. Diana hosted a Christian radio program for many years, entitled "For Heaven's Sake". She lived her life passionately and every passion she pursued flourished under her determined care. The things she was truly passionate about included loving her country, raising and showing rabbits to two national wins, horses, art, photography, home schooling her grandchildren, and loving her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was an extraordinary teacher: loving, kind, boundlessly generous and a great patriot.
Those she leaves behind will miss her greatly, but as she always said, "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die."
Viewing and memorial gathering will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, Ohio 45432 on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at 2:00 pm at Bear Creek Cemetery.
