Dewey Roger "Sonny" McCoy
Age 67 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, May 25, 2012. Dewey is survived by his wife of 32 years: Rita; daughter and son-in-law: Tammy & David Clark; three grandchildren: Nikki, Katie, & DJ; two great grandchildren: Ivee & Ethan; father-in-law: Thomas Gillum; brothers and sisters-in-law: Mike & Mary McCoy, Donnie & Vickie Chism; sister: Debbie Henderson (Fiance': Rick Hale); close friend: Wade; his beloved dog: Stretch; and several nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister: Alice Jean McCoy; mother: Retha Hurst; and father: Dewey McCoy.
Dewey was a United State Army Veteran proudly serving during the Vietnam War and he retired from Dayton Progress.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM until time of service.
