Dewey R. Johnson, age 86 of Englewood, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born September 17, 1934 in Lee County, Virginia, the son of the late Ollie and Rachel Johnson.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Lewis (Nancy) Johnson.
Dewey is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris; children, Terri Johnson, Darryl (Angie) Johnson, David Johnson; grandchildren, Brooke (Shane) Hemmerich, Kristin Kloth, David (Marissa) Johnson, Brandon Johnson; great grandchildren, Konor Clark-Johnson, Addison Hemmerich, Marissa Hemmerich, Quinn Kloth; brothers, Jerry (Barb) Johnson, Ron (Barb) Johnson; very special friend, Dick Mullen; as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.
Dewey was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked for Phillips Industries for 27 years. In the past, Dewey and Doris enjoyed square dancing together. More recently, they loved golfing together. Dewey was a simple man who enjoyed being at home with his family.
Private services. Burial will be in Polk Grove Cemetery.
