HILL, Dewey Richard, age 81, of Dayton, passed into eternal life Sun., Jan. 22, 2006. He was born June 2, 1924. Dewey was preceded in death by his father Dewey R. Hill, Sr., mother Emma Mary Hill and 1 brother Wilbur Hill. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served honorably during W.W.II in the South Pacific Theatre where he received 4 bronze stars for valor, had worked for 36 years at N.C.R. and for 15 years at Macauley Air Craft Corp. Dewey was an honest, ethical man who offered a helping hand to anyone in need. He never met a stranger and never told a story just once. Dewey is survived by his beloved wife Ella Rose Hill, to whom he was married 30 years; 3 daughters Major Mary L. West & husband Ken of Atlanta, GA, Patricia A. Hill of New Lebanon and Pamela Horn Kerlin & husband Dr. Tim Kerlin of Centerville; 27 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who lived for and was devoted to his family; he will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed. Funeral services 1 P.M., Thurs., Jan. 26, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Rev. Tony Lutz officiating.
