Dewey E. Brewer

Dewey E. "Gene" Brewer, age 85 of Fairborn, OH passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at home. He was born October 1, 1933 in Campton, Kentucky to Osa and Bertha (Tolson) Brewer. Gene married Treva Adams on April 27, 1957 in Jeffersonvile, KY and she survives.

Gene graduated in 1951 from Beattyville High School in Kentucky and proudly served his country in the U.S Navy. from 1952 to 1956. He attended the University of Kentucky upon discharge from the Navy, earning a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering. Gene worked as a civilian engineer at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and retired in 1988. He loved to golf, water ski and going to garage sales. Gene loved his family dearly, especially his wife of 61 years, and will be greatly missed by all.

Gene is survived by his wife Treva; a son, Dale Brewer; two grandchildren, Jake Brewer and Tess Brewer. He is preceded in death by his daughter, He is preceded in death by his daughter, Debi Mayenschein; and his parents; a brother, Charles Brewer and sister, Betty O'Neal.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 1:30 pm. Burial will be at Byron Cemetery following the services.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 6120 S Gilmore Rd, Fairfield, OH 45014.
