Devyn Phillip "Dreads" Dixon, age 23, of Dayton, passed away on April 22, 2021. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on April 12, 1998, the son of Olivia Key and the late John Dixon, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his father John Dixon, Sr.; his grandfather, Phillip Key; and his cousin, Greg Strine.
Devyn is survived by his loving mother, Olivia Key; his son, Brayden Dixon; siblings, John Dixon, Jr., Quentin Dixon and Jada Dixon; half-brothers, Josiah Dixon and Javon Dixon, also their mother, Natalie Deselms; his "brothers in spirit", Tyheed Miller, Jake Dills and James Kindig; grandmother, Carla Key; uncle, Andy (Karen) Key; cousin, Violet Key; nephews, Kingston and Ka'Mari; niece, Aurora; girlfriend, Taylor Pack; special friends, Melissa, Taequira, and Devin Pack; and a host of aunts and uncles of the Dixon family, especially his aunt, Shonda and many close friends.
In his free time, he loved guns, swimming, using his bow and arrow, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Devyn was a "Protector", he was always there for those he loved. He was the "rock" for his mother and his family. He had a strength that was unmatched. Devyn will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-2:00pm, on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, where services will begin at 2:00pm.
