Dr. Devert Wayne Wicker, 53, of Beavercreek, OH passed away Friday January 13, 2012. He is preceded in death by his father, James Buck Wicker. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Lynn (nee: Blasingame) Wicker; 3 children, Devin Alexandra, Logan Andrew, and Janae Danielle; mother, Voneda Owens Wicker; and 2 brothers, James Buck Jr. and Phillip Lee.
Devert was a Senior Computer Engineer for Sensors Directorate at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, sang in the choir and men's quartet at the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene, and also sang in the Close Enough Barbershop Quartet.
Memorial service is Monday January 16, 2012 at 3pm at the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene, 1850 N. Fairfield Road, Beavercreek, OH.
Pastor Keven Wentworth is officiating.
Donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home (Beavercreek Chapel), Beavercreek, OH.
