Wheeler, Derrick Lee age 59, of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. He was born in Utrecht, Holland on July 25, 1961 to the late Walter H. and Dolores A. Wheeler (nee Knuge).
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Louise Fleming; uncle, Richard Knuge; and sister-in-law, Claudia Wheeler.
Derrick is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Tammy Wheeler (nee Fleming); four daughters, Tabitha Luzcak, Nicole (David) Crowder, Beverly Sherwood, and Katie (John) Brown; 8 grandchildren that he loved with all his heart; brothers, David and Michael Wheeler; sisters, Angelia Owens and Sally Schmall; and a host of other family members and friends.
Derrick graduated in 1980 from Stebbins High School. He retired from the US Air Force after 21 years and has been a contractor on the base for 20 years. Derrick never new a stranger and everyone was his friend.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432 followed by funeral service at 4:00 pm. Derrick will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery.
The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face mask will be worn in all public places.
