Age 39, of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 12, 2010.
Derrek was preceded in death by his Oma & Opa; and by his aunt, Debbie.
Derrek is survived by his parents, Mike (& his wife, Pam) & Maria Kennard; paternal grandparents, Harold & Norma Kennard; one brother, Mark (& his wife, Karen) Kennard; one sister, Taryn Kennard (& her partner, Damon Bradley); step-sister, Jessica Ridener; three nieces, Shanelle, Sidney & Ruhama; one nephew, Shawn; his life-long sweetheart, Paige; and by his extended family, including Dana, Kendi, Keith and Sue; his Dutch family, including Huub & Tiela Mulders, Michel & Nathalie & many good friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. A celebration of Derrek's life will start at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to Derrek's family to help with unexpected funeral expenses.
