Denzil Osborne

Denzil E. Osborne, age 85 of New Carlisle, passed away November 24, 2010. He was born November 29, 1924 to John and Cordia Osborne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 1 sister.

Denzil is survived by his wife of 62 years, Billie Osborne; sons: Ron Osborne and Dennie Osborne; 2 grandchildren: Kevin (Stephanie) Osborne and Jason (Andrea) Osborne; 6 great grandchildren: Brayden, Aubrey, Brody, Jozie, Ellie and Sophie; brothers: J.H. Osborne and Mack Turner; sisters: Olene Young and Opal Holcomb; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Denzil was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, WWII and retired from National Cash Registers after many years of service. He was a member of the Huber Heights Church of God and Huber Heights American Legion Post # 200.

A funeral service, with military honors provided by the United States Navy, will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for 2 hours prior to the service, 1-3 pm. Pastors Roger Hamilton and Howard Briggs co-officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
