Davis, Denzil, age 91 of Kettering, Ohio, born February 25, 1926 in Paint Lick, Kentucky.
Went to be with his Lord on June 9, 2017.
Worked for Dayton Power & Light for thirty plus years.
A devoted family man who loved traveling, cooking, and spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by his parents, Finley and Cora Davis, sisters Emma Thomas and Elaine Miller.
Survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Clara Davis; children, Alan Davis and Linda Smith (Gary); grandchild, Lance Smith (Rhonda); great-grandchildren Owen and Noah Smith; sister, Beverly Wilson; sister-in-law, Marian Schneider; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 13 at Newcomer South Dayton Chapel, 3940 Kettering Boulevard, Kettering OH 45439.
Funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Del Stephens officiating.
Burial will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 East Lytle-Five Points Road, Centerville, OH 45458.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Gospel Mission Incorporated.
