Dennis Volz

VOLZ, Dennis Lee, 65, of Huber Heights passed away Sunday February 1, 2009 after a valiant battle with various illnesses. He is preceded in death by his father Forest Volz; granddaughters Kimberly Kay Puckett and Alexis Volz; and grandson Trenton Volz. Dennis is survived by his devoted wife of almost 44 years, Diana Volz; loving and caring children Dennis R. (Edie) Volz and Melissa (Greg) Puckett; precious grandchildren Gregory (Janel) Puckett II, Emily (Desmond) Puerner, Brittany (Joey) Adams, Tiffany Puckett, Timothy Puckett, Madelyn and Miranda Volz; great grandchildren Sidney, Mea, Alea, and Jenna Puckett and Nevaeh Puerner; mother Thelma Volz; brothers Ronnie, Tim, and Rick Volz; best friends of 39 years, R.C. and Ginia Robbins and their children Billy Robbins and Rhonda Fox; loving and old biddy sister in law Gloria Dillman; caring niece Faith Sexton; nephews Richard and Bobby Ray; numerous other family and friends. He was a veteran in the U.S.Navy from 1961 to 1964. Denny was retired from Chrysler after 27 years of service. He was a member of FCHH where he had served as a deacon and elder and lately was attending services at LACC. Denny enjoyed fishing, watching T.V., listening to gospel music, but most of all spending time with family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held 8:00PM Wednesday February 4, 2009 at First Christian Church, 6114 Fishburg Rd, Huber Heights Ohio 45424. Family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00PM Wednesday at the church. Contributions may be made to the church Brotherhood Fund in Denny's memory.
