Dennis E. Steinke, age 60 of Lewisburg, OH, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021, in Dayton, OH after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 19, 1961 in Dayton to the late Harold and Virginia (Slade) Steinke.
Left to cherish Dennis' memory are his wife of 15 years, Mary Beth Steinke; brother, Harry (Carol) Steinke; sister, Debbie (Lloyd) Tripp; step-daughters: Carly (Nathan) Taylor, and Kristin York; grandchildren: Braylon York, and Bliss York; father-in-law, Mick Rittenhouse; and several other relatives and friends.
Dennis was a kind, loving person who always had a smile for everyone he knew. He was an encouraging presence, who made a positive impact on everyone who knew him. Dennis was a the director of agility training at the Dayton Dog Training Club. He especially enjoyed showing his Shetland Sheepdogs and Australian Shepherds at agility events. Dennis had worked at GM for 25 years as a production machine specialist. He loved to watch the Ohio State football games, and University of Kentucky basketball. Most of all, Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek) where a memorial service celebrating Dennis' life will follow at 5:00 p.m.
