Dennis Shutts, age 71 of Kettering, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born January 31, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio.
Dennis retired as a jet mechanic from the Wright Patt Air Force Base after many years. He also worked at Cassano's Pizza for many years after his retirement. Dennis was a devoted member of the Vineyard Church in Beavercreek. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing bingo. He enjoyed watching the Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Marcella Rae Schuler; grandparents, Zelma and Raymond Shutts; and brother, Terry Schuler.
Dennis will be missed by his loving wife of almost 46 years, daughters, Laura Luke, Elizabeth Dieterle and Katie (Chris) Perkins; grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan and Patrick Luke; Jonah and Autumn Dieterle; and Cameron, Zoey, Baylee Perkins; siblings, Connie Griffith, Sandra (Mark) Powell and Cindy Schuler and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Thursday, July 18, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio. Burial Willow View Cemetery.
