Dennis R. "Denny" Gerhardt

Dennis R. Gerhardt (Denny), age 80, of Centerville passed away Monday, August 19, 2024. He was born on May 27, 1944, in Milwaukee, WI to his late parents, Gladys and Frederic Gerhardt. He is survived by his children, DeAnne Gerhardt and Keith (Cassandra) Gerhardt, and granddaughter, Madison Gerhardt.

Denny worked for Ram Precision for 30+ years as an accomplished tool and die maker. He enjoyed spending time with family, dining at the Paragon Supper Club, reading science fiction, and spoiling the neighborhood dogs. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing on several dart teams, including the infamous Heavy Heavers. Even up to his final days, Denny was known to be a jokester and a charmer, ready to share a funny story with anyone who would listen.

Denny will forever be remembered for his unwavering love, and the laughter he spread. May he rest in eternal peace.

In honoring Denny's life,  Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 820 Miamisburg Centerville Rd, Dayton, OH 45459. At 11:00 a.m. on Friday August 30, 2024, a Funeral Service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville. Immediately following the Funeral Service, a Reception with lunch to honor and share memories will be held at Moose Lodge 1645, 2110 E. Central Ave., Miamisburg, OH 45342.

 * Before proceeding to the Reception, Denny’s family will hold a brief committal service at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
