Dennis Ray Coates

Dennis Ray Coates, age 65, of Xenia, passed away December 27, 2024. Dennis was born in Xenia, Ohio on August 26, 1959 to the late Ralph and Patricia Coates. 

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cheryl (Herb) Younker; and brother-in-law, Ray Johnson. 

He is survived by loving wife, Rebecca Coates; sister, Robin (Daniel) Haman; sister, Sandy (Brad) Osborne; children, Tiffany, Crystal, Eric (Brandie), Tayler and Anna (Jacob); step-brother, Russell Smart; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, riding his bike, puzzles and tinkering in his garage. 

Dennis was loving, caring and funny. 

Donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.

There will be a graveside service held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 10:00am at Dayton National Cemetery (4400 W Third St, Dayton).

Dennis will be laid to rest with military honors.
