Dennis Chauncey

Dennis John Chauncey, age 58 of Riverside, passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2010. He was born May 6, 1952 in Dayton to Jesse Chauncey, who survives and Mathilde Chauncey, who preceded him in death. In addition to his mother, Dennis was preceded in death by his niece, Melana Richison.

Dennis is survived by his son, Christopher Chauncey; grandson, Lucas Chauncey-Yount; sister, Linda Goedeking (Van); nephew, Nathan Richison (Audrey); numerous cousins in Germany; and many friends, including best friend, Con Gubser (Lou Ann).

Dennis graduated from Carroll High School in 1970; was an avid sports fan; enjoyed boating, fishing and the ocean. Dennis was loved by all who knew him and will be missed forever.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 S. Smithville Road, Dayton, Ohio 45420. Father Satish Joseph Celebrant. Burial to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
