Delphia Creech
Age 80, of Dayton, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Delphia was born January 6, 1927 to the late Willie H. and Martha Caudill in Yeaddiss, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Herbert Creech in 1989, daughter Betty Fannon in 2002, brothers Keith, Charles, Prentice, Corbin and sisters Faye, Constance, Joanna and Georgia. She is survived by 7 Children, Herbert Creech, Jr., Joyce Blatz, Danny and Ahn Creech, Rosemary Coleman, Jim and Dodie Creech, Jan Maupin, Teresa and Robert Kier, 22 grandchildren, 23 great grand children and 1 great great grandchild, sisters and brother, Dorothy Creech, Mary Lewis, Nancy and Fred Jones, Clara Sanders, Grace and Vern Kelly, and Carl and Peggy Caudill. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and cherished friends.
"I know a woman of strength and beauty. I have watched her for years, learned from her, been cared for by her, been loved by her in a way NO ONE else could ever love me. She has been my guide, my protector, my inspiration, and most importantly, my friend. She will always be these….She will always be in my heart. She is my Mother."
Delphia will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at David Cemetery.
