Deloris Faye Siple, age 80, of Brookville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. She was born January 30, 1941 in Venia, Virginia to the late Ira and Nora (Combs) Fletcher.
Faye worked at Murphy's Department Store in Virginia until moving to Ohio in 1978. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years and also sized band uniforms for Brookville High School marching band students while her children were in band. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, crocheting, gospel music and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her siblings, Elvia Ratliff, James Fletcher, Bernice Gochenour and Sam Fletcher. Faye is also survived by her children, Andrea Howard, Debbie (Victor) Borrero, Robert Siple, Martin Siple and step-daughter, Barb Bell; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Siple who passed in 2017; parents, Ira and Nora Fletcher; half-sister, Wanda Moore; step-daughter, Cris Berry and son-in-law, David Bell.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 10:00am-11:00am at Northridge Free Will Baptist Church, 4800 Payne Avenue in Northridge; where her funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11:00am. Reverend Timothy Hamilton officiating. Interment to follow the service at Arlington Cemetery in Brookville, Ohio.
