Deloris Rowland, age 79 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born April 9, 1935 in Ashland, Kentucky the daughter of Chester and Ethel Hicks.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Davis; and a brother, Chester E. Hicks.
Deloris is survived by her husband, Jessie; a son, Gary (Patricia) Rowland; granddaughters, Stacey Rowland and Lindsey (Anthony) Bailey; and 5 great grandchildren, Miranda, Kailyn, Kenidy, Chloe, and Anthony Jr. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 11:00 am with longtime friend Pastor David A. Rakes officiating at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
