Deloris Jean Mccall

Deloris Jean McCall, age 81 of Kettering, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born September 8, 1935 in Helena, Kentucky, the daughter of the late James Hull and Achsa Kabler.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, David McCall; infant son, Michael McCall, daughter, Veronica Vulgamore; and infant great grandson, Keaton Vulgamore.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Claudia McCall; two grandsons, Byron (Kate) Vulgamore, Bryan (Autumn) Vulgamore; five great grandchildren, Victoria Benedetto, Kyla Vulgamore, Hannah Cornett, Eli Cornett, Addyson Vulgamore; as well as Julie (Russell)Wilcox; and many other family members and friends.
Jean was a lifelong musician of 50+ years serving as organist for several churches in the Dayton area. She also began the children's choir at Central Christian Church and served as director of the Laudate Ringers Bell Choir. In addition to her church music service, she retired after 25 years from Kettering City Schools as a secretary, first in the central office, then at Kettering Middle School.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11 am at Central Christian Church (1200 Forrer Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45420). Visitation will be from 9:30 until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Music Department at Central Christian Church in Kettering or Hospice of Dayton.
