MOURRY, Delores, age 84, expired Monday, June 29, 2009 at Heartland of Kettering. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Dyke and her husband Tom, her son Joseph Mourry and ex-wife Stacey, and four beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Jena, Alex and Adam all whom she loved dearly. Preceding her in death were her much loved husband Jim, Mother and stepfather Hazel and John South, her beloved grandfather Carl Lux and grandmother Nancy, Aunt Thelma Wellbaum and father Ralph Carpenter. Delores was a 57 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars and her association in Auxiliary 2800 in Belmont accounted for many of her social activities. She was secretary of 2800 for many years, a past auxiliary president for three years, a charter member of Auxiliary 9936, a past District President, Secretary/Treasurer for the Past President's Club, and held many chairmanships in state, district, and local auxiliaries through the years. She started a Widows Club and belonged for twenty years, a volunteer at the VA Medical Center in Dayton and a five year volunteer tutor at Ruskin School in Dayton. She retired from Miami Valley Hospital. Delores wanted to leave the world a better place wherever she was. She will be missed by her many friends and her family. Visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel with Ladies Auxiliary 2800 services at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 12:00 pm at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church with Father Tom Meyer celebrant.
